Aluminum Reflective Roof Coatings
Why Aluminum?
The advantage of adding metallic aluminum pigment to roof coating goes beyond cosmetics. The advantages are twofold:
- The asphaltic oils in the base coating are protected from the intense rays of the sun by the reflective properties of the aluminum. Over 70% of the sun's rays are reflected, thereby preventing the oils from being "cooked out" out of the base asphaltic coating. This allows the coating to retain its resilient characteristics and not crack or prematurely dry out.
- The use of aluminum reflective coating will help reduce indoor building temperatures by as much as 15-20 degrees Fahrenheit. The sun's rays are prevented from penetrating the roof coating and passing the heat into the building interior thus improving inside living and working conditions. The combination of aluminum and asphalt produces a self-protecting roof coating with longer lasting moisture and heat resistant features. The aluminum pigment is permanently bonded to the asphalt base assuring a longer roof life and savings on roof maintenance.

Our highest quality aluminum reflective roof coating contains high-grade aluminum flakes blended with tough water-resistant petroleum asphalt and reinforced with select fibers. The high concentration of aluminum pigment produces a brilliant aluminum shield which has a smoother and more even texture than most other aluminum coatings. It will fill and seal small nail holes and hairline cracks. Hi-Brite Aluminum is flexible and durable to give a longer service life than less expensive coatings.

Premium Cool Coat Aluminum Roof Coating

Our best selling aluminum reflective coating contains high-grade aluminum pigment, tough water-resistant asphalt and select fibers. The aluminum pigment seals in the natural oils of the asphalt keeping the asphalt pliant and roof watertight. Cool Coat Aluminum provides an excellent value, blending a high percent of aluminum with durable asphalt assuring a longer roof life, heat reflectivity and subsequent savings on roof maintenance.

Seal Coat Aluminum Roof Coating

A time-proven aluminum reflective coating which contains slightly less aluminum pigment than our premium grade aluminum coatings. It blends aluminum pigment, petroleum asphalt, and is reinforced with fibers. The aluminum pigment contained in the coating reflects the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun. Seal Coat can add years of life to the roof surface. It helps reduce interior temperatures and protects the roof by reducing heat absorption, asphalt oxidation, and rapid thermal dimensional changes. Available in 55 Gallon, 5 Gallon, and 1 Gallon containers.
Non-Fibrated Aluminum Roof Coating

This high quality aluminum reflective coating is manufactured from select asphalt, solvents and metallic aluminum pigment. The aluminum pigment in the coating is in the form of flakes which form even, overlapping layers on the surface when applied. This metal shield reflects the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun and helps reduce interior temperatures. Non-Fibrated Aluminum Roof Coating complies with ASTM D-2824 Type 1.
